Description

Companies that earn just enough to continue operating but are unable to pay off their debt, often kept alive through very low interest rates.

Zombie companies are businesses that, despite earning enough revenue to cover their day-to-day operations, cannot generate enough profit to service their debt fully. They often survive due to low interest rates or lenient credit conditions, posing risks to the economy as they consume resources without contributing to growth or innovation.
